Thomas Telford - The Scottish Engineer The Scottish engineer Thomas Telford became famous for his
bridges, roads and canals. He was a shepherd's son born in Eskdale, Dumfriesshire.
He became a stone-mason and in 1782 went to London, where he helped to

About Teak Timber
Teak wood is heavy, strong and long-lasting. It comes from
a tall tree found in tropical countries, particularly India, Burma, Thailand
and Sri Lanka. The leaves of the tree are oblong in shape, up to 50cms
long and 40cms wide, and they are very rough. The small flowers hang in
large, loose clusters.
